In early 2008 after years of struggling with chronic back pain, I took my first Yoga class at The Folded Leaf and immediately found the relief from my physical pain that I had been searching for. Since that first class Yoga has shown me a new way to approach life and has helped me to grow physically, mentally and spiritually. After practicing regularly in classes and at home, I began teaching Yoga in the area in 2009. I have since completed my 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Anna Pittman of the Breathing Space in Blacksburg Virginia. I now look forward to a life long practice of Yoga in all of its forms, as well as being able to share what I continue to learn with others. It is my belief that the regular practice of Yoga is integral in allowing us as individuals to live our lives from a place of unconditional love, rather than from a place of comfortable fear.
