1. I'm new to yoga. What do I need to bring? What should I wear?

Yoga is practiced barefoot, so wear shoes you can easily remove before class. Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement is best.  A yoga mat is the only essential piece of equipment for class, so bring your own if you have one. We rent them for $1 if you do not have your own.

2.  How do I know which class is right for me? Where do I start?

Determining where to start your yoga journey depends on a number of variables:  your personality, general fitness level, other health concerns or injuries, etc.  Generally classes that are listed as BASIC HATHA, GENTLE, KRIPALU, RESTORATIVE, OR BEGINNER will be beginner appropriate.  ASHTANGA, VINYASA FLOW, HOT VINYASA, AND CORE STRENGTH YOGA will be more physically intense, and practitioners can expect to break a sweat.

Please note that a certain level of "skill" or "flexibility" is not required or necessary for any of the classes on our schedule.  You are always invited to rest as much as you need to rest, and to skip any postures that you feel, for whatever reason, are inappropriate for you.

3.  My six-class pass expired before I was able to use all the classes.  Can I get an extension?

Because the six-class pass is intended as both an incentive and a discount for frequent attendance, it does expire after 90 days.  To use all of the classes on the pass this only requires attendance twice a month.  Please take the expiration date into consideration before purchasing a six-class pass.  If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you out.
